Well I worked today and apparently I should be thankful. The younger child (you know who you are) was an absolute pill almost all day. It started before I left with the two children butting heads about every little thing and never stopped. All this was on top of Sunday when he also was rude, so much so that his own grandmother will not help him at all with his piano lessons. He wants to learn but he gets so nasty when everything is not perfect sometimes.
Now something computer related. My computer has been uncooperative since March, would not run. I would turn on the power and there would not even POST. I turned it on last week just out of curiousity and it beeps at me, one long two short. I look this up and it says that video was not found. Puzzled I was, a video card is in there. So just wondering I move the video card from where it was up one slot, this is a PCI card at this point I am testing with. Machine boots, it seems to run very slowly during POST but once the OS comes up everything is fine. I work with this some and am happy. Later I put the AGP card back in, it boots although still slow at POST. Still works tonight. All quite strange but does point out the need for a new system.

I hear that things are going better today, I would hate to think what it would be like if things were worse. Hopefully we put the episodes of the past two days behind us.
Now if I can just get things to behave at work I will be a happy camper. The axs-one AR system does not want to work on the test box I am setting it up on. Frustrating.

Another week, poof! Not a bad thing, I just wish they would slow down a little. Played a good bit with .net this week at work, an interesting platform. I must say that ADO.net is MUCH easier to use than ADO when coding in a C based language. I did some C++ stuff last year using ado, painful. Now this week I wrote up a couple little things using ADO.net and C#, much easier and I was doing everything by hand too. I could simplify things yet more by using the graphical tools, drag a connection over, setup the command and just call them, will get to the type of later as I do larger programs, first crawl then walk eventually run.
The grass keeps growing, amazing what our climate will do for plants really. It has been only about two weeks since I cut some parts and it needed work a week and a half ago. Cut the backyard today, will work on the front tomorrow weather permitting, although we will likely get downtown tomorrow also for the wooden boat show, have to remember the camera for that and get some pics up.
Soccer games last night went well. Matthew’s team tied and Grant’s lost but he is looking a lot better. Grant played goalie for a while and stopped a lot of shots on goal and when he was on the field he did not panic and kick the ball out when a few opponents got around him. Matthew played defense a lot and did well but did not see much action for the second half. Hope he plays more next week.
