My day in court

Just a quick update. Life is pretty good, it has its share of mistakes but hopefully I am learning from them. Had to go to court this morning to fight a ticket from the accident on 11/18/03 (not sure if I mentioned that here or not). The judge knocked it down some, from 153 to 80 dollars but I get so damn nervous I forget to look at my notes, there were other things I should have said. Oh well. What really bugs me is that as I was going to pay I saw a sign in the window that said the judge now has the authority to defer a ticket. What that means is if one keeps a clean driving record for a year then the ticket is erased. Sure wish I had known of that before I went before the bench.
