I guess this is turning into a month notes setup. I do what I can.
February was actually quite busy. the middle two weeks we took a vacation to Los Angeles
where Kathleen has family. We had planned a lot of activities and visiting but it turned out
to be a bit of bust. Matthew started running a tempature the same day he finished a course
of penicillin for strep throat. At first we thought he just had a cold but after a few days it
did not go away so we arranged a doctors visit. Guess what, strep was back. Never left actually,
was just pushed down a bit. This time a stronger anti-biotic was prescribed and that cleared it up.
Unfortunately the first was gone by then. To top things off, the cousins we wanted to visit all
had colds themselves, apparently a nasty strain was going through the schools down there. Glad we
did not get caught up in that one.
It was a fun trip even we did not get to as much as we hoped. I will try to get some pictures up soon.
Before we left I bought a 2.1 megapixel digital camera. Nice little thing. I like not having to worry
about taking a bad shot, just delete it if you don't like it.

Wow two in two days, bit of record. Should be easily broken.
So so day at work, wrote up documentation all day, a different activity than
my usual but will become more common I foresee. This has always been a weak
spot for me, time to fix that.
Finally got KDE all compiled on the new notebook (a Toshiba 2415-s205). It runs
properly too. Now I just need to get the rest of the bits working and
more apps setup on it and the machine will be useful. Need to find a good
geneology program, Kathleen has been using one under windows and that is the
one thing she really needs for her research.
Enough for now, don't want to overdo it. Who knows this might just get to
be habit.
